CCP-QC Funding Call 2026
CCP-QC Call for Funding for Collaboration Visits and Workshops
The Collaborative Computational Project in Quantum Computing (CCP-QC) invites applications for funding to support collaboration visits, both within the UK and international (to/from the UK). The collaboration should involve applications of quantum computing to computational science and engineering or aligned research. Support for small workshops as well as individual visits will be considered, along with outreach and public engagement activities.
Who can apply?
- The applicant must be from a UK HE institution.
- Student applications should be supported by their supervisor, and include a training element.
When is the call open?
The call is open now and will fund applications on a rolling basis. The activity must take place, and all funds be spent, by 31 October 2026.
What is eligible?
The award can support the following costs:
- Travel and subsistence
- Catering (not including alcohol)
- Equipment or consumables for public engagement and outreach activities
- Venue hire for workshops or public engagement
The award does not fund research — salary and research consumables are not eligible. Conference travel is only allowed as part of a collaboration visit that happens to align with a relevant conference. All costs must comply with UKRI policy: https://www.ukri.org/publications/terms-and-conditions-for-research-grants/ukri-terms-and-conditions-of-fec-grants/
All costs must be fully justified and only actual expenditure can be paid for.
What we’re looking for
CCP-QC aims to bring together the UK’s computational science and engineering communities with quantum computing communities. Awards will be given to applications that align with this goal. The activity should facilitate knowledge exchange, collaboration, enhancement of expertise, and any other activities relevant to the overall aims.
How to apply?
Applicants must complete and submit the application form. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until funds have been used up.
